Dogwood Festival 2013: May 10-19 in Dowagiac, Michigan

Dogwood Festival LogoBack for our 22nd year, the Dowagiac Dogwood Fine Arts Festival showcases the best in fine arts in southwestern Michigan. This year we welcome Nicole Krauss who has been hailed by the New York Times as "one of America's most important novelists." Storyteller Andy Offutt Irwin is sure to follow the great tradition of Dogwood-hosted storytellers with his unique "Silly-Putty" voice and hilarious stories. Certainly not an evening to miss!

Also returning is the Downtown Art Walk, a week-long juried art competition that is showcased in downtown merchant windows! It truly gives new meaning to "window shopping." Plus the annual kids day musical event "Klassics for Kids" is a great way to educate those youngsters in your family.

And do not forget the annual Youth Fine Arts night highlighting the sights and sounds of our local students, along with the presentation of the Dogwood Festival scholarship to a deserving student to help further their education. And be sure to not miss out on the our new unique (and free) art event, interestingly titled "Caught in the Act." For a look at our entire weeks worth of events check out our festival schedule here.
